“How rich actresses without training are ruining Nollywood” Bimbo Success spills

 


Nollywood Bimbo Success, a Yoruba actress, has lashed out about how untrained, wealthy Nollywood women are harming the business.



In an interview with Punch, the mother of two claimed that performers' lack of adaptability in the field is due to insufficient training.


She asserted that some actresses think that making a good movie is only a matter of having money.


Bimbo claimed that the lack of substance in the industry is due to the affluent women who star in films despite having no official training.


She stated:

“It is lack of training (that makes actors not flexible in interpreting their roles). There are some people in the industry who do not go for training. There are some ladies, who shot movies just because they had money. They would go behind closed doors to do the movie without prior training. Once they have money, they produce films, even without knowing the job.”
