“Why I don’t post my husband on social media” Skitmaker Kiekie spills, as she opens up on her marriage (Video)
Award-winning comedian Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, better known by her stage as Kiekie, has explained why she chooses not to publish pictures of her husband on social media.
Any Kiekie fan or follower would be aware that the sketch creator and actress doesn't post or discuss her marriage on her social media profiles, leading some to believe she is concealing.
Speaking about it in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Kiekie claimed that her Instagram page is a business page for her rather than a place where she hides her husband.
She claims that she doesn't show up because her spouse isn't employed by her and isn't a part of her firm.
The only time, the mother of one posted him was during her daughter’s pregnancy and that was because he was part of that journey.
“I don’t share my husband on Instagram not because I’m hiding him but because my Instagram is a business Instagram. My husband is not part of my business. He doesn’t collect a salary. What ‘consine’ him?”.
But I’m pregnant and I wanted to share it, it’s not me that ‘pregnant and I wanted to share it, it’s not me that ‘pregnant’ by myself. It was a collaboration and he’s alive and we’re not fighting so why not. So when we had the baby and we’re going to do Thanksgiving. It was family”.
On why she doesn’t post him on his birthdays, Kiekie said, “Cause my birthday is MY birthday. I don’t see the need to post him on his birthday because he’s not even on Instagram.
So the person I want to wish didn’t dey there. So I should now be wishing him for you… Why? He’s in my bed. He sleeps there. ‘Sweerie happy birthday to you’. Why do I have to go and tell millions of human beings that he’s doing a birthday”.
Kiekie added that the next time she would share photos of her husband is when she gets pregnant again.
“But before you see him again, it will be a while. Only maybe if we born another child again sha”.
