Fully Armed EFCC officials broke into woman's apartment in Ilorin. She lands at the hospital

Around 1:30 am on Thursday in Ilorin, Kwara State, a multi-tenanted apartment building on Mandate Ogor Street, beside the Centre for Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, was broken into by no less than fifteen EFCC agents.

One of the residents told FIJ that at around 1:30 am, EFCC agents burst over the barb-wired fence into the apartment, barging and robbing everybody inside.

"At around 1:30 in the morning, I heard someone yell, "Open the door," as the door was also being forcefully struck. Five two-bedroom apartments and two self-contained rooms make up the unit. At the same time, they were breaking into four other rooms. I untied my window when I opened my eyes.

I noticed the EFCC agents in their red jackets at the apartment next to mine. They soon showed up at my door. They ignored my request that they wait for me to open the door for them for a few minutes. They pushed their way into my room because they couldn't wait any longer. 'Where is my phone?' they inquired.

The gate EFCC officials jumped over, barb wires destroyed

I questioned one of them about why they came to the residence so late at night. They leaped the fence and began breaking down doors to people's homes. They were heavily armed, my wife was pleading with me to enter the house. They were facing us with a rifle. I couldn't tell who they were because some of them were even wearing the face mask. One of our neighbors' car and was removed. He was described as a "Yahoo boy" by them.

I visited their office in the morning. When I arrived at their headquarters, EFCC personnel acted haughtily and informed me that this was how they conducted their operation and that they had raided numerous homes in Ilorin. I embarrassed myself so much by leaving. When everyone is in a fragile position and the typical Nigerian is just trying to make ends meet, why should he have troubles during the day and then have problems at night when he is trying to rest? When they departed at 2:30 am, I actually drove my wife to the clinic since she had started to develop high blood pressure.
An other resident, who works for Sobi 101.9 FM in Ilorin, claimed that she had been with her mother when the incident took place.

She claimed to FIJ that her home's door was broken and that the officers had entered her room to conduct a thorough search.

An occupant’s home broken into by EFCC officials
In that complex, there are roughly seven apartments for us. They entered each residence forcefully. The first house on the right is mine. They broke into my room with force. According to what I observed when I arrived, they used a stone to break into my room and searched it thoroughly. They presumably assumed I was hiding or something, she added.

They overshot the fence. The sign is still hanging from the fence's wall. Most likely, they pressed the barb wires with their shoes to gain access to the compound.

The incidence was reported to FIJ by the front desk agent at the Ilorin EFCC command.

I was not one of the operatives who went for the operation, so while I am aware that they were arrested, I am unaware of what transpired there. He said
