Rising Nollywood star Bimbo Ademoye has shattered Funke Akindele's five-year record of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, which she shared with her senior colleague and box officer.


Bimbo Ademoye won the award for Best Actress in a Comedy/TV Series, defeating other contenders like Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson.


The show's producers displayed their excitement to name the quickly rising actress as the winner by tweeting the news.

In an interview with Punch, the mother of two claimed that performers' lack of adaptability in the field is due to insufficient training. She asserted that some actresses think that making a good movie is only a matter of having money. Bimbo claimed that the lack of substance in the industry is due to the affluent women who star in films despite having no official training.
