AFRIMEK suspends actor, Papa Show for assaulting junior colleague, Temidayo Morkinyo
AFRIMEK has suspended Nollywood actor Shoneye Olamilekan, also known as Pap Show, for physically abusing Temidayo Morkinyo, a female subordinate colleague.
Temidayo Morkinyo allegedly accused the actor of physically assaulting her on a movie shoot, according to a post from Sho-GB-blog.
Temidayo said in a series of pictures on her Instagram account that the actor and other boys had invaded her filming location in Ibadan, Oyo State, to beat her up.
She claims that on May 18, when she reported Papa Show's disorderly behavior to her superiors, he hit her in the face and broke her lip.
She described the situation, saying that on Wednesday, while she was on a movie set, Papa Show called her angrily and asked her to bring him a drink. She went on to say that she felt mocked by the way he spoke to her yet she still obeyed.
Afeez Abiodun Seriki and Niyi Johnson, her superiors, agreed to summon him to order when she reported him to them.
After being admonished, the actor unexpectedly invaded her set with several others to beat her up.
Temidayo Morkinyo continued by saying that her family is demanding justice because the assault is said to have caused her anguish.
The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) responded by distancing themselves from the actor in a letter signed by the mayor, Femi Adebayo.
Femi Adebayo claimed in the letter that the club's values and the image it has been known to project are not represented by his behavior.
Because of his dishonorable behavior, the association has decided to punish him and suspend him right away while additional inquiries are being made.
The association also sympathize with Temidayo Morkinyo and offered to cover her medical expenses.
