Women’s underwear, coffins found as police arrest fake pastor operating church and shrine

Police officers from Zone 7 in Abuja have detained a group of suspected ritualists who are believed to have used charms to con unwary members of the public.

In a statement made public by SP Istifanus Sunday Bako, it was revealed that on April 5, a team of detectives stormed Jikwoyi and Orozo along Karu in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja and detained three suspects, Uluko Adukwu (M), 28, Salisu Aduh (M), 38, and Adams Halilu (M), 24, along with two young boys, ages 11 and 13, who were believed to be their victims.

According to Bako, all suspects have admitted to employing charms to scam individuals, particularly by providing charms for cybercrime and Internet scammers, a.k.a. Yahoo Plus, who utilize the charm on their victims to achieve their goals and gain whatever they want from them. This sometimes results in the death of some of the victims.

Three empty caskets, a Toyota Prado Jeep, a Lexus 330 Car, fifteen mobile phones, and some clothing thought to have belonged to the deceased victims were also discovered at the scene of the crime during the operation.

The AIG, Kayode Egbetokun, who is now DIG Kayode Egbetokun, encourages worshippers to be cautious about where they worship and to report any suspicious activity to the police, according to Bako.
