“There is a whole lot that has gone down” Regina Chukwu emotional as her housewarming party date clashes with her husband’s 20th remembrance

 

Regina Chukwu, a Nollywood actress, became distraught when she realized the timing of her housewarming celebration and her husband's memorial service.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, the mother of two detailed how she repeatedly postponed her celebration until she was able to choose a date with the assistance of her coworkers, Kemi Korede and Folorunsho Adeola.

She had no idea that the day she chose was also her husband's 20th memorial day.

She claimed that she was unaware of the conflicting dates until her younger sibling pointed it out to her.

She disclosed that her sister had called from the UK to ask if she was aware that the date she had proposed to them was precisely the 20th anniversary of her marriage.

Before realizing it and being amazed by how God works, Regina said she was about to argue it with her sister.

She wrote,

“Happy new week my lover.

So it’s just 7 days to my party (the mushy, mushy kinda emboss). There is a whole lot clot that has went down within this short period and I have got to learn and unlearn so many things and humans in general but trust me this isn’t the time to go into all that.

Now to the reason why my emotions is all over the place.

We had to move the date from the 22nd of March to May 1 cos election and all that was going on in the country but the most amazing part of it was the date we ended up settling for (unknowingly to me was a very significant one in my life) so when the need to change the date came @folorunshoadeola quickly rush down to my end and I also called @iamkemikorede and we hastily decided on May 1st considering we also wanted the Ramadan fasting to be over and done with but what I didn’t realize then was that the day we chose was the anniversary of my late husband death… I didn’t realize until my youngest sibling who happened to be living with me when the sad event happened called from the UK to ask me if I knew the date I gave them was exactly the 20th anniversary of my husband and I almost debated it until I pulsed to do the calcu and I was like “HAAA GOD! What a way you have of doing your thing God”.
