Sex to me was like punishment but my first husband wanted it every time”- Foluke Daramola speaks on first marriage

 


Foluke Daramola Salako, a Nigerian actress, talked about her first marriage.


She explained in an interview with TVC Your View that she had been raped and lost her virginity as a result. She afterwards acquired a disdain for sex and considered it as a punishment, but her first husband didn't care and wanted it constantly.


To her, she saw it as beatings and was always scared of going home.


“I lost my virginity thru rape, so sex to me was punishment and the person I got married to wanted it every time. It felt like he was beating me”.


She claimed that she noticed the warning signs before getting married to him but disregarded them.



According to Foluke, her spouse pushed her into getting married too quickly because she felt pressured by her friends to do so.


She admitted that on the night of her wedding, when her husband requested her to cut her sim, she broke it.


When I wanted to enter my first marriage, the sign was there even though my partner was rushing me into marriage and I was like my friends were getting married. All the signs were there. Anger issues.


My wedding night was when I had my first encounter. I had to switch to a new sim, therefore I ended up with a broken sim.

I was aware of the abuse and anger indicators, but I chose to ignore them.


I was forced to remain there due to the evidence.
