Lecturer celebrates Sallah with his three wives and 19 children
A lecturer at the Umar Bn Khattab College of Education in Kaduna named Baba Lawal recently stirred some controversy on social media by posting pictures of his family enjoying the Eid al-Adha feast.
In the pictures, Baba Lawal could be seen dressed traditionally with his three wives and 19 kids, who were also dressed similarly.
He utilizes the platform to share the passing of the father of his wife.
"Alhamdulillah for more mercy from Allah, my family witnessed this year 1444AH EID, despite it came with mixed emotions as Hajiya (Mamawa) lost her father Prince Jimoh Adeleke on Tuesday, 18 April 2023, may Allah forgive his shortcomings," the lecturer said in the caption accompanying the images. Ameen, Allahu magfir, Allahumathabith.
Please join the family in mourning Hajiya and in asking Allah to keep her journey safe.
The images went viral right after, and many people praised Baba Lawal for being able to successfully care for his enormous family. Others commended his spouses for their assistance and their harmonious relationship.
Many also send their condolences to his wife over her father’s death.
One fan wrote, ” Allah bless us and our families. Allah bless all our departed parents and relatives with aljanna firdausi, aameen.”
Another one wrote, ” Congratulations to you and your lovely family for another Eid celebration together. May Allah continue to strengthen you and bless your home. Ameen. Taqaballahu minna waminkum”
Baba Lawal, has been married to his three wives for over 20 years and has always been vocal about his support for polygamy as a way of life. He has previously said that he is proud of his family and that his wives and children are his greatest assets.
